Wisdom Council Founder, Patrick Mosher, gives you a peek into the Wisdom Council experience and invites you to our 2024 Wisdom Councils.
The idea of Wisdom Council was seeded in a South Dakota tipi. As our group sat in circle, we discussed issues in our camp. We made decisions about what we would do that day. Who was going to get wood. Who was going to build the fires for sweatlodge. As I looked around the circle, I realized this is how it was done by aboriginal people for centuries.
Sitting in circle. No lead. Each person contributing their unique talent to help the tribe do more than just survive. They thrived!
In that moment, I knew I had to bring that tradition into our contemporary way of being.
Wisdom Council was born.

Alladale Wilderness Reserve is 23,000 acres of flora, fauna, and other wild beauty, all decked out in an astounding array of colors. Thanks to years of conservation efforts, nature is returning to prominence on the reserve. And when we return to nature, we return to ourselves.
Just as the stewards of Alladale have planted 920,000 mixed native trees throughout the reserves riparian areas since 2009 to mitigate runoff, erosion, and flooding events, we wonder how we can plant our own seeds of sustainability. How does Alladale consider all the natural dependencies on the reserve to fully invest in a sustainable future?
That's Exactly What We'll Be Focused On Together...Planting Seeds of Purpose for a Sustainable Future.
At the Scottish Highlands Wisdom Council, you will experience the scope of the Alladale stewards' efforts as well as the degree to which it's nature itself that runs the show and does the true work here.
Deep wisdom rises up from the very soil itself at Alladale. You just need a guide that shows you what to look for, how to pick it up and how to put it into play.
Stroll past herds of Highlands cattle in Alladale's dramatic glens, climb the colorful hills, and wonder beside glistening rivers and lochs. You are transported to the intersection of nature's simplicity and the role of humans. You are witness to a sustainable future.
The Scottish Highlands hold a key as they have for centuries. And Alladale presents a vision of seeds for a sustainable future that inspires our activities today.
Find your key for navigating these urgent times. How will you find, gather, inspire, and activate others to your mission?
Let the Scottish Highlands INSPIRE YOU to activate your community

On the morning of the Winter Solstice, sunrise aligns exactly with Newgrange, a prehistoric monument in Ireland overlooking the River Boyne. Newgrange is a stunning example of a Neolithic Period structure built around 3200 BCE, making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. But how?
Newgrange's construction, without the most basic of modern tools, must have required deep cooperation among an early-formed community. How was such a monument built, in this time-intensive and humanpower-intensive way, at a time when basic survival needs were so immediately pressing? How was the community activated to work together to build Newgrange?
What Community Do You Want to Activate?
Consider the time, effort, and cooperation it took to build Newgrange. Wonder and wisdom ooze from the very stones of Newgrange's ancient structure. You just need a guide that shows you what to look for, how to gather the ancient wisdom, and how to activate your community with that wisdom.
Walk inside the inner stone cruciform chamber of Newgrange, admire the ancient passageways, wonder and learn about other henges, burial mounds, and standing stones.
You are transported in time - backward and forward. You are a front row witness to ancient secrets of activating community life!
You feel it, right?
Newgrange holds a key as it has for centuries. This impressive example of ancient construction inspires us today.
Find your key for navigating these urgent times. How will you find, gather, inspire, and activate others to your mission?
