Inspired by the frustration of forgetting key steps in routines (like recording a session), this challenge helps you build simple tools to make your habits foolproof. Commit to it for one week to see results.
1. Identify Your Forgetful Task:
Pick one repetitive activity where you often miss a step, like prepping for a meeting, workouts, or content creation.
Write down what usually goes wrong (e.g., "Forget to charge devices").
2. Build Your Checklist:
Create a short list of 5-7 essential steps for that task. Keep it simple—use a note app, paper, or Post-it.
For example: "Turn on camera, Check audio, Hit record, Connect laptop."
3. Add Visual Cues:
Place annoying-but-effective reminders in your environment, like a sticky note on your screen or a red flag on your equipment that blocks you until you act.
4. Run It Daily:
Follow the checklist every time you do the task for the next 7 days. Check off items as you go to build the habit.
5. Review and Refine:
At the end of the week, note what worked or didn't.
Tweak the list or cues, then make it a permanent tool in your routine.
